Andrew Duck receives Western Maryland Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO endorsement
FREDERICK, MD – Andrew Duck, Democrat and Iraq War Veteran, has won the full endorsement of the Western Maryland Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO. In a letter released by James Bestpitch, President of the Western Maryland Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, Bestpitch stated, “We at the Western Maryland Central Labor Council have been putting up signs, dispersing your palm cards, informing, and educating the people of western Maryland as to who is the true person for the people”. Additionally, Mr. Bestpitch said, “Thank you for all you have done and will be doing”.
Bartlett : ineffective legislator for the sixth district and within the Republican Party
FREDERICK, MD – Rep. Roscoe Bartlett has made two things very clear, as posted on his own website, GOP websites and repeatedly stated at recent public appearances in Williamsport, Cumberland and Frederick, “I’m not interested in politics.”, and “I don’t need this job.”

In a letter released by Fred Mason, President of the Maryland State and District of Columbia AFL-CIO, Mason stated, “You have been endorsed for U.S. Representative in Congress for Maryland District 6 by the Maryland State and District of Columbia AFL-CIO. Our endorsement is in recognition of your support and commitment to fight for working families”.
Rep. Bartlett waivers on party affiliation
FREDERICK, MD – Representative Bartlett, at the last of three consecutive Town Hall meetings to be held this week (Williamsport, Cumberland and Frederick), was confronted by another low turnout with approximately twenty attendees, compared to the turnout at Williamsport (20) and Cumberland (17). The majority of attendees, based on their questions and comments, appeared to be disgruntled Republicans and Democrat supporters of Andrew Duck.
Rep. Bartlett draws small attendance at town hall
WILLIAMSPORT, MD – Representative Bartlett, at the first of three consecutive Town Hall meetings to be held this week (Williamsport, Cumberland and Frederick), drew fewer than twenty attendees, but plenty of fireworks.
Rep. Bartlett says congress uses Enron style bookkeeping
WESTMINSTER, MD – During the Carroll County League of Women Voters Forum, Wednesday, August 11, 2010, Roscoe Bartlett responded to a question regarding the national debt by saying, “We keep ENRON type of books in Congress”. He did not provide any additional remarks to clarify the comment, or what actions he has taken during his tenure as Maryland’s Sixth District Congressional Representative to address and correct his inference that Congress uses cooked or crooked bookkeeping practices.
Rep. Bartlett seeks credit at C&O Canal stimulus event
